It seemed as though I could not find
The (lovely/handsome) vision in my mind;
That is, until that (special/fateful/wondrous) night,
When you came walking into sight.
You say to me "I love you!"
But are you truly sincere?
For your actions do not confirm --
Nor are your intentions clear.
Thank you for your (thoughtfulness/kindness),
And your caring ways;
Thank you for your friendship,
All these many days.
I cannot live without your love -
My life would not be the same;
For I would be incomplete,
Like a candle without a flame.
Each night my visions wander far,
To a place I cannot travel to;
And there they mingle with your thoughts,
In a lover's rendezvous.
What would the Yin be without the Yang -
What would lemon pie be without the meringue?
What would false be without true -
And what would I be without you?
How can I describe what you are to me?
Mere words do you no justice -
For you are an infatuation that does not end -
A fascination of the nth degree -
A passion that consumes all thought and deed
And fills my life with (poetry/ecstacy).
Just a note to tell you,
How much I love your smile;
How much I love your humor -
How much I love your style.
True understanding must prevail,
So that our love will never fail;
And if our thoughts don't harmonize,
We both should try to compromise.
Our love is like a diamond
Whose brilliance will not fade;
Time will never take its toll,
For it is Heaven-made.
When you take me in your arms,
You send a quiver up my spine;
Then you thrill me even more,
(Each time/When) you kiss me Valentine.
You are like a starship,
Sailing out into space;
Pulling me along
In your tractor beam's embrace.
